The installation at Villa Mozart celebrated Italian craftsmanship in a journey through the excellences of crafts and design, where the fil rouge was the Mosaico itself; the central focus of the exhibition was an oversized sculpture depicting Serapian’s iconic Secret bag made of Bisazza black and gold mosaic tesserae, merging leather and glass.
The exhibition also presented a special installation of artworks from Fondazione Bisazza’s Permanent Collection, designed by Italian architect Alessandro Mendini. Serapian chose these artworks to honor this Milanese design legend, whose visionary interpretation of mosaic was among the inspirations for the Villa Mozart presentation.
